Yoram Shani is the Abba Eban Center coordinator and a former Israeli Diplomat. He served for many years in the Israel's Ministry of Foreign Affairs in different positions: Responsible for the International coorporation with South-East Asia countries; Economy Division Director; Political Counselor in Teheran, Iran; Political Minister Counselor in London, England; Ambassador of Isreal to Serbia and Macedonia including the official contacts with Montenegro and Kosovo governments. 

Ambassador Shani was awarded in 2003 the Yugoslavian Silver Star Medal by the president of Serbia as a symbol of appreciation for improving and strengthening of the relations between the two countries. He was the only foreign ambassador that was awarded this kind of honor as gratitude for his outstanding diplomatic service.
