During the last summer, the Truman Institute hosted The Stacey Mandel Palayge and Keith Palayge Program in Middle East Peace for Students of Tulane University, New Orleans. During their stay, the students received lectures from Truman researchers, went on excursions around Israel, met MK memebers, community leaders, and the people trying to promote change in life in Israel.
The latest tour of Madrassah in the Old City of Jerusalem included Muslim, Christians and Jewish students, and together they traveled through the alleys of the Old City and visited it's many sacred sites.
The Rectors from Latin America visited Israel and the Truman Institute on December 2016 for one week and participated in academic conferences and lectures with top researchers in the Truman Institute and Hebrew University. The Rectors met the President of the State of Israel, Ministers and Members of the Knesset, and visited Yad Vashem Museum as well as Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.
For the first time in Israel and in the Hebrew University, the Truman Institute hosted two Syrian expatriates to present and speak about the current situation in Syria. The two participants addressed the audience and the media that filled the Mexico Auditorium to explain the horrific situation that the Syrian people have been living in for the past six years.
