Prof. M. Kamari Clarke is a professor of Global Studies, Law, and Legal Studies, Anthropology, Politics and Cultural Studies at Carleton University. She is the former chair of the Council on African Studies at Yale University (2007-2010), and the former director and co-founder of the Center for Transnational Cultural Analysis at Yale University. She has also served as an expert advisor to the African Union on its expansion of the criminal Jurisdiction of the African Court of Justice and Human Rights.
