Prof. Dr. Dieter Ingenschay is a world renowned expert in postdictarorial Hispanic Literatures, Gender, Masculinity and Gay Studies, Metropolis and Literature. He has acted as President of the German Hispanic Society (1998-2003) and is Recipient of la Orden de Isabel la Católica (2008).
