Abba Eban Collection

This summer, the Roberta and Stanley Bogen Library received approximately  500 books from Abba Eban's personal library.  This special collection contains dedications and inscriptions to Abba Eban from many leading personalities in the history of modern Israel, as well as, the 20th Century.  Included in this group are: David Ben Gurion, Moshe Sharett, Edward Heath, Moshe Dayab, and Trygve Lie, the presiding United Nations Secretary General when Israel was declared a state in 1948. This special collection will have a prominent place in our library and will make a fine complementary collection to the Abba Eban Archives also housed at the Institute.
